Water

Most of this is ingested through food or drinks other than pure water. It is not clear how much water intake healthy people need, although most specialists agree that approximately 2 liters (6 to 7 glasses) of water per day are the minimum to maintain adequate hydration.

The medical literature favors a lower consumption, typically 1 liter of water for an average man, without including the additional requirements due to the loss of liquids by exercise or warm weather.
